Connecting students with ingredient and food technology companies in a structured, purposeful setting.
Giving Fi Europe a tangible role in industry talent development, beyond the trade show floor.
Offering exhibitors direct access to the next generation of buyers, formulators and R&D professionals.
Positioning Fi Europe among students as a relevant entry point into the industry.
akp took the project from concept to execution: strategic planning, student outreach across universities and social media channels, and on-site support during the event. The goal was not just attendance. It was meaningful engagement between students and the companies that could become their future employers.
The Future Food Leaders Day was designed to connect talented students with leading food and ingredients companies, positioning Fi Europe as a key destination for the next generation of industry professionals. The initiative aligned with Fi Europe's "Connect the Disconnected" strategy, ensuring that students were not just given access to the event, but actively engaged with the exhibitors shaping the future of food.

Reaching students requires a different playbook than reaching industry professionals. akp combined an on-site promotion event at the University of Hohenheim with an Instagram campaign, LinkedIn outreach and direct contact with faculty and study secretariats. The result: motivated, career-focused students who arrived at Fi Europe knowing what to expect and who to talk to.
By developing targeted communication materials and activating key academic networks, akp positioned the Future Food Leaders Day as a must-attend event for anyone serious about a career in food and ingredients.

The programme was deliberately structured to go beyond passive attendance. Three formats drove the day.

Moderated by industry insider Hans-Ulrich Frech, the panel brought together senior industry figures to address what a career in food and ingredients actually looks like: the opportunities, the realities, and where the sector is heading.
